Have you ever seen such a pretty set of triplets? Three of Wimborne Musical Theatre’s company are pulling out all the stops, as well as dummies, as they rehearse for their song in the Society’s next show, “Showstoppers” which takes place at the Tivoli Theatre Wimborne this Saturday 30th November.
Sylvia Walpole, the Society’s chair person said, “We always plan to bring humour into our shows and this one is no different. So we have three of our “boys” Bill Mason, Phil Evans and Andy Trant performing a well known comedy number amongst other light-hearted songs.”
“Of course not all the Company have to dress like that! We recently had a photoshoot with some of our members at the Norfolk Royale Hotel wearing more “sensible clothes although we still had fun.
“Showstoppers” is a show case for some of the best songs from record breaking shows from the past and present, including “Me and My Girl”, “Guys and Dolls, “Singin’ in the Rain”, “Phantom of the Opera”,“Les Miserables”,“Starlight Express”, “Wicked”, “ Hairspray”, “Mamma Mia”, “Sister Act” and many more.
The company will not be just singing; as always stylish dance routines will be weaved into the performance with the award winning production team of Suzi De Villiers as Choreographer; John Stringer, Music Director and Roy Joseph, Director.
Sylvia Walpole added. “Once again we are performing at the Tivoli which we regard as our “home” and are delighted to be performing in their 25th Anniversary year”
“There are two performances of “Showstoppers”; a 2.30pm matinee and 7.30pm evening performance on the 30th November. Tickets are £12; and matinee performance tickets for children under 16 and senior citizens are £10. So don’t be disappointed book your tickets now!”
